Trouble#8

Trouble / Brussels

What's the trouble?

The eighth edition of the European performance festival comes later in the season than usual - five days between May and June - exploring new territories along several avenues. Beyond individual initiatives, the group and community are a recurrent question. Music has a strong presence, mainly in its 'pop' dimension. A special ‘Zone' is opened up in the Maison des Arts near Les Halles for performers working with new technologies. The Grande Halle is invaded for a whole afternoon by ten proposals for 'living sculpture'. Origins (Egypt, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Iraq, Poland, United States ... and many Belgians too) and generations (from 'grandmother' Laurie Anderson to 'Fragile!', the student performers Cambre) cross and even mingle ...

Artistic direction: Antoine Pickels. In the frame of A space for Live Art, with the support of the Culture Programme of the European Union and of CulturesFrance, with the support of the Embassy of Poland.
